The Film

Sun-soaked, stylish, and full of groove.

Kayla and Tony’s wedding weekend in Napa was the kind of celebration that felt effortlessly stylish from the moment it began. Their festivities started in the heart of downtown Napa with a welcome party where friends and family gathered to toast the couple and set the tone for a beautiful weekend ahead.
The next morning, the California sun rose over Stanly Ranch — one of Napa’s most breathtaking modern-luxury venues — and it created the perfect backdrop for Kayla and Tony’s wedding day. The entire property looked unreal with rolling vineyards, sculptural architecture, and a serene, elevated atmosphere.
Their ceremony design was everything: thoughtfully curated, luxurious, and harmoniously aligned with the venue. Rows of natural wooden chairs, framed by soft, garden-inspired florals that blended seamlessly with the surrounding white blooms. It felt intentional, airy, and deeply romantic.
One of the most special aspects of the weekend was Tony’s heart for the people he loves. He really wanted to show not only his love for Kayla, but also his appreciation for many of his friends and family members. Leading up to the wedding, he collaborated with me to film an interview with just him—heartfelt and personal reflections for the ones he loves. Incorporating bits of his interview about Kayla into their final film created an even more immersive experience, allowing their story to be told even more intentionally. It was meaningful, emotional, and added a beautiful layer of depth to their wedding film.
Throughout the day, their friends and family showed up with so much style and intention. The energy was joyful, supportive, and filled with those subtle moments you only get at a celebration surrounded by people who truly care.
The reception space later transformed into an ultra-luxe dinner-party atmosphere. Candlelit tables, delicate florals, and warm golden light filled the room, creating a space that felt refined and inviting. The music, the energy, and the heartfelt toasts made the evening feel like a true celebration of who Kayla and Tony are as a couple.
A highlight of creating their film was blending both digital footage and Super 8 film — something the couple deeply valued. They wanted their wedding story to feel timeless yet nostalgic, modern yet sentimental. The combination gave their final film a textured, soulful feeling that perfectly matched the tone of their day.
“Karli, thank you so much! Kayla and I have probably watched the video 4-5 times already. Each view I catch more and more nuance. I do wonder how much our wedding playlist is burned into your brain because I can definitely tell you’ve taken time to enjoy the music and songs. I really liked how you incorporated them throughout. Again, from the very beginning I knew you would do amazing work and this footage is a dream come true and a true masterpiece to capture what I still believe is the wedding of the year. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the project and we hope we can work together again.”
