Lakefront Wedding Weekend in Georgia

I. The Background

Remi and Brett’s wedding weekend at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee was the perfect blend of lakeside ease and elevated celebration. From the very beginning, the weekend unfolded with so much warmth, intention, and joy, surrounded by the people who love them most.

Things kicked off with the sweetest welcome party. Remi and Brett arrived by vintage wooden boat, cruising across the water before being greeted by cheers from their friends and family waiting on shore. The evening felt relaxed and intentional — thoughtful bar setups, a live band, heartfelt toasts, and great food all set outdoors with the lake just steps away. It was the ideal way to start such a meaningful weekend.

Their wedding day was sunny, hot, and absolutely stunning. The ceremony took place in an intimate pocket of trees overlooking the lake, creating a natural, romantic setting. Lush florals and soft details elevated the space while still letting the environment shine. Watching Remi walk down the aisle with sunlight filtering through the branches felt like one of those moments no one would ever forget.

The reception carried that same energy and then some — gorgeous design, candlelit tables that incorporated fruits and veggies, and a live band that kept the dance floor packed from the first song to the last. The night was full of laughter, good music, and moments that felt so uniquely “them.” At one point Remi even crowd surfed, which instantly became one of the weekend’s most iconic memories. The celebration wrapped with a fun, high-energy after-party and a DJ set that kept everyone dancing late into the night.

What stood out most, though, was how loved Remi and Brett are. Their connection is so genuine and magnetic, and it was easy to see why so many people showed up to celebrate them!
